The HumanitiesCMD includes a new feature,
Quick Capture, with is a simplified user interface to record the basic documentation of an item. This is done from one 'place' instead of opening up various forms. This means you can record the following from one interface:
- Description: main description details such as Item ID, Title, Medium, Measurements, etc.
- Management: main management details such as how the Item was acquired, storage and who documented it.
- Producers: associate as many Producers as required and record their relationship to the Item.
You can also quickly associate images or click through full Description or Management details.
Quick CaptureSettings
If you need to control what information is being captured then use
Quick CaptureSettings which is available via the
Checks tab on the Switchboard. This means you can control any Description and Management field on the Quick Capture form by simply selecting which is enabled or not.
Quick Capture is not to be confused with the
Quick Capture Wizard: basically Quick Capture is used to work directly with the database, where Quick Capture Wizard is used to compile and send information to the database.
